I was the kid who wanted to be friends with everyone, but didn’t want to be the same as anyone.
Maybe that’s why my favorite characters in stories were always the misfits, the ones that no one else really understood. I wanted the good parts of them to show through so that everyone else could see them how I saw them.
I love floral design because I get to show people the good parts of things where no one ever thought to look. A concrete wall, industrial building, or construction site could be just as extravagant as a cathedral with the right flowers. I get to create an aesthetic and fill a space with it, and I get to invest in people and bring their feelings to life in a brilliant display.
Oh, and I also love Indian food, Lisa Frank, Pop Punk, an oversized sweat set, Olivia Rodrigo, musical theater, and little ghosties.
